Abbey United Reformed Church, Romsey

Celebrations!

Our Annual General Meeting recently took place and we were pleased all of the appointments were filled for another year. Many thanks to everyone who filled these positions and to those of our loyal congregation who come to church week by week to worship at our church.  We looked back at last year and looked forward to the coming year’s activities and especially our 200th Church Anniversary. The church was built in 1818 so we must mark this year with various events to celebrate and to give thanks for the people of the village who, 200 years ago, decided to build our church. We must also give thanks for those who, in 1906, put an extension on to our church.  Our Anniversary Service will be on 17th June 2018 at 10.00 am and this will be led by our Minister. Then on 24th June 2018 at 2.30pm in the Village Hall, we will be presenting a Deep South Gospel Sing-Along with The Chris Walker Quartet. It will be a swinging Songs of Praise. Admission will be by programme for a donation of £8.00 per person. Programmes will be on sale after Easter from Rusty, Shirley or any member of our congregation - we look forward to celebrating with you!
