View items...In just over four months we have now given out 17 prayer shawls and touched people’s lives with our thoughts and prayers. It continues to lift my spirits when we are gathering for our monthly meeting and it is lovely to see how people are sharing skills and even attempting to learn new skills. We welcome any new members to our group and donations of double-knitting wool as well as your kind prayers.
Romsey Ladies Choir
SUMMER CONCERT IN AID OF PROSTATE CANCER
Saturday evening 9th June 2018, at 7pm in Romsey United Reformed Church.
We are aiming for an enjoyable evening of song and laughter. Joining us will be the Romsey Ukulele Group (RUG), who are always such fun, and if that wasn’t enough, to add even more contrast we have a Barbershop quartet called Southern Electric who will also take to the stage. Tickets at the door £8. School aged children free. There will be a raffle and refreshments. Everyone welcome – especially if you like a bit of a sing-along.
Nine prayer shawls have now been gifted to people facing significant changes in their lives as a symbol of God’s all-embracing love and compassion. We have been busy producing prayer scarves and shawls and these were dedicated during the Easter morning service. Please do contact Mike or Marie Perrott (or any elder) with the names of people who you think would benefit from receiving a prayer scarf or shawl, they do not need to attend our church to benefit.
If you are interested in getting involved in this ministry come along to one of the prayer shawl meetings in the Abbey Hall Lounge on one of the following dates between 10am and 12noon: 12 May, 16 June and 21 July.
The church magazine with news, calendar dates and details of events comes in two versions.
