The group has had some exciting activity during the last month. The biggest event was of course being able to celebrate with the rest of the country the release of Nazanin Zaghari-Radcliffe and Anoosheh Ashoori. Over the last six years we have contacted MPs and cabinet ministers to campaign for their release and it’s great to have a positive outcome.

As a group we like to focus our efforts on one persecuted individual or community.  We hope that with time, and our campaigning, they will be freed. Last month we committed to work on behalf of Kubeo Sukuani, a community of indigenous people in Colombia. Once we find out the issues they face I will let you know, but many of these isolated communities in South America have been forcibly evicted by mineral extractors aided by the government.
