Kirsty presented her audience with an evening of many musical delights using her abundant talents. She got us all singing along with the old favourites, the sixties renderings reaching the highest volume! Her voice blended beautifully with Anne’s during the duets. Audience participation reached its height with enthusiastic flag waving to “Land of hope and glory”. Kathleen was a great support throughout the evening, especially when she surprised us all by disclosing colourful decorations concealed on the pulpit.
The church was well filled with Romsey residents and church friends. The interval refreshments were enjoyed by all, especially Val’s “royalty” cupcakes. The sum of £550 was raised during the evening for Church funds.
Thanks to Kirsty, Anne Turner, the Cornerstone URC friends Margaret and David Yapp who provided the IT support and everyone else who helped to make a most memorable evening as a contribution to Romsey’s Jubilee celebrations.
