Harvest celebrations

Our Harvest celebrations will be slightly later this year, with our Harvest Supper being held from 6pm on Saturday, 1 October, followed by our Harvest Service, with Holy Communion from 10.30am on Sunday 2 October.  Harvest Supper will be a ‘bring and share’ supper, so be ready to sign the list when it arrives at the back of church.  Updates on the service sheet.

For our Harvest Service we will be aiming for a more traditional theme, linking with Communion.  All donations to the harvest display will be given to the Community Pantry who would welcome both tinned and fresh produce.  If you wish to link with the communion theme then cereals, cereal bars, a home-made loaf of bread, a cake or something containing grapes such as juice, muesli, raisin snack-packs.  However, any tinned or fresh produce would be most welcome.  The Community Pantry offers a valuable service; its principle is to give those in need the opportunity to have a ‘helping hand’ by getting food at a lesser rate on a weekly basis. Please help us to support this worthwhile cause.  Donations can be left in the church on Saturday morning between 10am–12 noon or bring them along when you come to the service.
