Following the morning service on 26 March, we will hold our Church Meeting. The main item on the agenda will be to make the decision as to whether to register our church building for same-sex marriages. After we have confirmed our Church Constitution that we accept a simple majority vote made by people on the Church Membership Roll, present and voting at the meeting, the vote will be taken by secret ballot (please note that the URC states that, “It is not in order for any Church Meeting decision to be taken by counting postal or proxy votes”).
The minister and elders look forward to sharing with you in this important discussion and decision making. All are welcome to contribute to the discussion but only members can vote.
